Research Interests

My project addresses patterns of phylogenomic diversity and evolutionary processes in the adaptive radiation of tillandsioid bromeliads. I study the nuclear and chloroplast genomes of selected members of Tillandsia subgenus Tillandsia using low-coverage whole genome sequencing. My project is carried out in collaboration with a PhD student in our group.
